Please Help! Amd Xp!!

I had been waiting all week to put my new system together. I used my existing Asus A7M266 with my new AMD XP 1.5g. It will post, but then when it lists PCI devices it hangs??? I have tried messing with all my bios settings, yet still hangs. I cant even use a boot disk. Is it my mobo? Before I flash the bios, can anyone tell if this mobo will support the new XP? Thanks for reading this and any help you may provide.

Yes, my problem is now gone. Surprised no one responded, must be a somewhat new issue. Anyways, my problems have all been resolved by using the latest beta bios that can only be found on Asus's german site. The link follows for those of you who had a similar problem:
