hello all, i have done many Google's and what not without success in finding a solution.
my card is an AIT AIW 9600np. i currently have it at 475/275 without any mods and would like to clock my core higher.
my specs are as follows:
DFI U400S-AL
pc3200 KVR 3-4-4-8
AMD AthlonXP-M 2500+ @ 215x11.5
Vantec ION2 460w PSU
ATI AIW 9600 475/275
i have a camera if pics are needed (I'm sure they will be), just direct me in what to look out for.
i found a a topic on a similar thing here but it was no help:

I'm going to do the mod soon on my 9600np, ill let you know how it goes. I'm stuck at 390/520 from stock 320/400. I should be going to radio shack tonight to see if they have any suitable pots. The mod looks easy, you just need to make sure you can solder and not to burn the chip doing it. I might heatsink the chip while I solder just incase.
Your OC is pretty good, the fastest ram they put on the np's is 500MHz 4ns ram and you are hitting 550MHz, so at least that is probably maxed out for you. I can't hit 400 core or more without artifacts, so you might be lucky and have a great card.
General info here, http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/radeon_voltmod/index.shtml .
Good luck, the mod just seems no more than soldering on a trimmer pot.

I pulled off the mod with my 9600np, so far so good. I didn't have a common PCB so I had to find my voltage regulator and get the datasheet to do the mod. Look at your card for the chip ISL6522CB, if you have that, then your PCB is common and you can just follow guides online, you just solder a 10-20k or more pot between pin 5 and 7 and you are done.
If you dont have that chip you can still vmod just as easily, you just need to find your voltage regulator chip, you can search part number here, http://www.digchip.com/datasheets/search.php, or search google, you will be looking for a Pulse-Width Modulator or something like that. If you still want to do this and need help just PM me or reply.
