Hi guys,

I'm new here, and new with the RAM lingo. I'm currently building a system with these specs:

ASUS A8N SLI-Deluxe socket 939 Mobo.
AMD Athlon 64 FX-57 CPU
x2 BFG Geforce 7800 GTX 256MB OC video cards.
1 WD SATA 74GB 10,000 RPM HD

My question is:

What type of memory would benefit this rig?

I'd like 2GB of RAM and do not plan on overclocking this just yet.

I've heard about the Kingston 2GB HyperX DDR2 PC2 6000. Is this more RAM than I need?

Looking for something fast, and price is NOT an issue.

Thanks,
C. Andrews

P.S. Sorry if this has been posted millions of times. :/

You shouldn't have any problems staying 1:1 with that cpu using pc5000 or you can get the best pc4800 with CAS 2.5. I don't know how well any of those can be tightened down.

here is some OCZ DDR625 running at CL 3-4-4-10

You might be able to find some tighter timed DDR600
