Thinking About 6600gt??

I have always been ATI was thinking about going with a x850xt pe but started looking at the 6600gt's in sli any opinions here?

i wouldnt take the 6600Gt sli . 6600GT sli = 6800GT. the x850XTpe ownez the 6800GT so go for the ati X850XT pe

2x 6600GT's would be less fast and make more heat than an X850XT PE. You also have to get a bigger power supply (well, perhaps not), and an SLI board also takes more money away from your video card budget. Have you seen the 7800GTX's on newegg? One of them has come all the way down to $480, and it beats the X850XT PE by a good bit.

yeh I see the price on the 7800gtx I think Ill look more into the Winfast By LeadTek......Im not real crazy about G-force cards but Ill keep an open mind and maybe try the WinFast for 499.00 from NewEgg.....

I feel the same way, but the 7800's really do trash the X850's, and if they are similar in price, don't let bias steer you away from a good deal.

Yeh Agreed now I have to bring myself to spend 1200.00 on the upgrade too lol


updated: I just puchased the 7800gtx sooo Ill post when I get it all in and set up let ya know if it was worth it...... :drool:
