i want the best card for this comp
p4 1.8 willy
1 gig ram
agp x 4
i have a 5900xt in it now is there a card that would boost performance. i dont want a card that is way to fast for the comp just a card that will meet what it is
Here is what I have to say before I look at what video card will run on your pc, even though your card will most likely be bottlenecked by the cpu that will only happen when running games at lower settings, if you look at benchmarks comparing cpu performance in games you will notice that the settings are usually a low resolution and no AA or AF. I'll edit this post when I find video cards that are compatable.

cool sounds good as this is wifes comp and it does not need much. i am just havin problems in a online game on that comp. o and by the way i have a 500 watt ps in it. mb is a intel 850gb
Sorry I didn't post last night but I had a pc to fix and I wasn't going to have any free time and had to be done last night. I'll check this after noon, but if you don't need much you can just get a 9800pro, or a 6600 (just check if it works on agp 4x).

You can get 6600GT. I think is the best way for your configuration :)
6600 is not powerful card for games, and byuing something >6600gt imho irrationally, because of the "p4 1800 Mhz" :)

Oh by 6600 I meant the 6600 series, just to give you an idea the 6600 is about on par with the 9800pro, the 6600gt is a little ahead of it and there is also the 6600Le which I think you should stay away from as it is like a more like a 6200 that is able to work in sli config. Also keep your eyes open, cause with new cards coming out you might get a deal on one for your pc and pass the one you have to the p4 1.8ghz.

Avg, 6600~2000Marks of 3DMark 2005, 6600GT~3000Marks of 3Dmark2005... and this advantage will be seing even on the 1.8Mhz P4...

Please, tell me this more easy, my english is not good :(
