View Full Version : Avi to DVD
I got some .avi files, I want to turn into dvd format so I can watch them on DVD. How do I go about doing this?
I think there's a plugin for Nero that allows this. I havent been able to locate a copy I can download for free yet though......
Yeah, I knew about the nero thing, but its 30 dollars last time I checked and I was just wondering if there were any free ones out there.
There's a few free nero plugins that I havent had a chance to try yet.
There's one you can try here: http://www.click-now.net/downloads08.htm
I found some others but can't remember where.
AVI2DVD. It's free, works great: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avi2dvd.cfm
I've been doing this for a little over a year, just download it and thank me later.

That is a good program but if you want maxium quality check out www.dvdrhelp.com they have loads of instructions on how to convert files with many different programs. I suggest Tmpgenc but go check the site your self!! :)
Cool, I think I give that AVI2DVD program a try sometime as well. See if it works well and is easier than Nero for this sort of thing

I used DVD2SVCD before I switched to AVI2DVD. It's got a lot of options, but AVI2DVD is much simplier. From what I can tell, quality is about the same between the two.
