i am having a crazy hard time trying to figure out what memory to get. I currently have the system in my sig below, and will be moving to a
AMD Dual Core
7800GTX
2Gig(2X1GB) of ???,
new nf4 mb
Two 74gb raptor drives.

I need to know a good set of dual channel ram that i can get to compliment my system. My comp is used 80% of the time for games. Im not a benchmark person, but i do check 3d mark now and then.

Currently i have never actually oc my computer. Should i go for the same type of ram that i have now...timings wise... 2-2-2-5? or 2-3-3-6? In other words....budget or go high end in the memory, like i did with the mushkin i have now, which i got 2 years ago.

Im not sure what to do...what would you do?

ya, ocz looks good, am i goign to find timings of 2-2-2-5 on 1024 sticks?

or are they going to be in the range of 3-3-3-8....is that good? Im i going to notice a decrease in performance from my mushkin ram which has less memeory but better timings.?

you can get the mushkin 3500 2-3-2 part to work along side your current level 1 part or you can go with the l2v3 which is 3200 2-2-2 part

991438 1GB XP3500 [email protected] (2x512) Redline

991357 1GB XP3200 Dual Pack 2-2-2 (2x512MB)

we are also working on some lower latency 1gig modules right now and should release in a week or so.

sorry i don't think i was clear, im not looking for 512 X 4 setup, because from what ive heard, its slower then a duall channel 1024 X 2.

i have 3500 (512 X 2) = 1GB at 2-3-3-6 right now

im looking to move to (1GB X 2) = 2GB, with timings in the range of 2-2-2-* (5-6)

not sure if this is possilble yet with 1024mb sticks....and im talking stock, not oc'd or forced. i think ive seen 2-3-3-(5 or 6)

Does any brand make sticks at 2-2-2-5 or 6 in 1024mb?

Also will going from a 3500 down to a 3200 ram do anything to me for performance, in the future. Im playing games so should i get value sticks and get crazy mhz ram speeds. or should i stick with 3200 to go along side my dual core setup(soon).

Not yet. we will be releasing some part that is 3-3-3 1024mb but not 2-2-2 yet. we are still testing and trying to validate different parts right now.
