Abit AW8MAX - Single and Dual Channel config

Hey guys,

I setup my new system a few weeks ago and started tweaking it tonight. I downloaded the latest version of CPU-z and it shows that my memory channel is set to Single. Can this be correct?

I thought I was getting Dual Channel

I'm running 2 x 512GB sticks of OCZ performance Memory (DDR2 667Mhz)

They are inserted into the first 2 slots on the motherboard. Do I need to occupy the 1st and 3rd slot to get dual channel?

Figured it out... I needed to install on slot 1 and 3 or 2 nd 4.

Now its time to overclock.

BTW: This rig was setup using a Silverstone LC10 HTPC case. This case causes the 4 RAM slot to be unusable. A minor mod with a drimel to removal metal is needed.
