Ahhh!!!

After being slightly bored, i decide i am going to try to move those annoying Chevrons from my start menu.

Currently I am using Windows ME (yes...i know... i'll upgrade to XP soon!)

I have tried Windows ME's 'Taskbar and Start Menu' properties. The exact same dialog box comes up whether i select it from the start menu itself, control panel, whatever.

No options to get rid of chevrons are there! There is a small sad selection of options to change your start menu.

I looked on Google, and my initial search did me no good...

Can anyone somehow help me get rid of those amazingly amazing chevrons?

Aha!

Nevermind, after further searching, I found out chevros are part of the 'personalized menu' 'feature'.

Boy am I glad those are gone. Maybe if i could actually Personalize my Personalized Menu, I could make use of those chevrons.

Does anyone know how to actually modify these to make them useful?

For example, I would use Chevrons only in Start/programs and no where else. I would require chevrons for folders/programs i havent accessed in the past 2 weeks.

There is most likely a way to do this in the registry, but i would rather not mess with it.

Anyone know of a way to personalized my 'personalized menu'?

The "Personalized Menu" is the latest selections you've made, such as under your Favorites in IE, or Programs in your Start Menu. The only way to personalize it more is to only use certain programs from it.
