Yes the video overlay is fine by default now, there never was really a problem with it for people who glance at the driver release notes :p.
I've heard a lot about the new SLI Antialiasing, and how now it's included with this driver. Well I feel stupid because I can't seem to be able to enable it. It doesn't appear to exist for me. The only options undering rendering are single or multi gpu, and sli antialiasing should be there from the shots I've seen.

Chrash to the desktop is not cause by the Drivers, usually by unstable system such as an OC'ed one (vid card or CPU).
As for yours you should try doing a clean install, first uninstall all the Nvidia Drivers/Forcware, use driver cleaner, boot in safe mode and install them again.

Errr, not to be picky but the Driver Cleaner readme says uninstall all Nvidia graphics drivers, then boot in safe mode and use the cleaner is safe mode, and then boot back normally and install the new drivers.
Oh yes, does anyone know how to turn on SLi aa, do I have to edit the registry like you would have to do for coolbits or what? The Nvidia site only has instructions for doing it with coolbits.

anything else to report with this one? performance?
looks like it: my 05 score just jumped 500 points! I'm not exactly 60 pts short of 10000!
However, they have NOT fixed the video bug thing...I just loaded up a video from Launch and it came up all weird like 77.72 :bang head

The drivers are fantastic, gets me 6,044 in 3Dmark05 at 4ghz, 425/1.15 (everyday freqs) :D.
So how good they are compared to 71.89?
I hadn't got time to test them by myself so far.

To me, they outperform them in gaming, stability, and benchmarks .. give them a try and you might see some performance increases.

Thanks, I'm installing them right now then. I hope to make my 6200 even faster.

I just loaded them lastnight, and tested. I got a 3 degree temperature drop right after loading them, and setting my clocks back to everday.
I've also noticed that the drivers allow higher OC's than before. I can bench in 05 higher than before without artifacting, and the FPS's have gone up as well as the scores. My scores aren't as high as they should be right now, becasue I have to reformat, and setup a "clean" drive, but they did go up from what they were when I tested right before switching over.
The file size is a little smaller, and since they run cooler, I assume they are coded more efficiently. They also seem to be "smoother". Not so jumpy on the FPS, but that is just opinion as I have no way to measure smoothness.
I can say without a doubt they are better than the 71.89, and the 77.72 they replaced. Testing proved that, and is further reinforced by other OC Forums Team members in this thread. :)

I got a meager gain of less than 100 in 05, but my Doom3 bench jumped 2 fps.

Really? I'll have to play with my clocks some more.
As for the file size, thats the first thing I noticed when I dled them, was that they are significatly smaller than previous drivers. I have no doubt that they are indeed more efficient.
I'm using the XG 77.77 HD drivers and they are working beautifully. BF2 runs great, CSS runs great, Heck, the F.E.A.R. demo runs great too. Ahhh how i cant wait for that game to come out..
sounds like its another awsome driver release, after the last little while the road was pretty bumpy, but good to know that nvidia is back on track :D
the 77.77s are a good set...but i still am in love with my dhzp 76.44, so i switched back
Ok, I tried 77.77, same OC as in 71.89, but better speed, maybe image is better too.
I haven't tried XG 77.77 HD nor dhzp 76.44; what's the difference with them?
just some various tweaks that are offered with differently modded sets for different drivers
but difference-wise...well, you gotta try them to find out ;)

I think I'll check them out. Card runs really great on 77.77, but Earth 2160, I've bought recently needs more power; I hope that these tweaked drivers will help.

LW, these drivers should get you to 10,000. You may want to visit the MS OS Forum, and look through the XP Tweaks. I did alot of them, and they helped performance.
My scores aren't what they should be because my drives are "dirty" right now. I need to reformat, but these changes did improve scores. I always test before a change, and then test afterwards. That way I get a relative picture of what the change did.
It takes a few hours to read through all those changes and incorporate the tweaks, but the OS runs more efficient. The guys who posted knew their stuff with that OS, and it helped me alot.
I'm going to reformat my drives, and incorporate the tweaks and start posting benches again. I gotta make more gains than a couple points all the time. I need to get those numbers up there.
wtf? on BF2 i went from 50-60 frames to 25-35, i am going back to the 77.30's i was at!

Something has to be wrong here with some of these cards.
For the ones having issues are you?
Uninstalling The drivers through the control panel?
Uninstalling Riva Tuner, and any Tweaking untils on your Computer?
Booting To Safe Mode?
Running DC Pro?
Booting Back to Windows and Installing new Drivers?
Reinstalling Tweak utils such as Riva Tuner?
If so, try to redownload the file again after removing the one you had completely from the computer. The Dl could've gotten corrupted.
You must completely remove all of the above or bits and peices of files will be left and will cause bad results.

does the 77.77 drivers have bad results on bf2 i left the oc/game for about a month lol is there anything really new about these drivers or is it safe to say the 77.72 are safe for now

I noticed a slightly higer OC too...nothing huge, but it pushed my RAM over the 1.1GHz mark (I was at 1096 before)! I did a "dirty" 05 run (bunch of stuff running in the background) and I didn't notice any artifacting after going from 370/1096 to 375/110x (I forget exactly). I'll push it a little further and see what happens.
Seems like these drivers are causing crashes on NFSU2 and SCCT :(

Does yours freeze as SOON as you race? I hope its a driver problem, I thought my vid card clocks were unstable. :-/

Yes, and same thing in Splinter Cell, as soon as I start playing, 1-2 minutes and system freezes. It was same with 77.72 version drivers.

Thanks man, I was mad to think 445 wasn't stable in NFSU2. I went back to the 71.89s and it hasn't crashed yet, very solid drivers.

I got a bit of an OC increase with these too- went from 391/1050 to 395/1060. I tried the core at 400, but got full-screen corruption. Maybe something between those two numbers would work for the core.
Then again, cooler ambient temperatures would help, and I bet the card's heatsink (stocker) has some dust in it :p
