I'm very pleased with my BFG 7800GTX OC. Just be sure to apply your own thermal grease. The thermal pads they use are junk.
For the price I'd say this is a bargain. There's a chance you could get GTX speeds out of these with stock cooling.

How many places have the 7800GT at this point? Do we have any prices to compare it with to make sure it's a deal?

$420 - $450 at newegg I work at Fry's Electronics, and when I saw a 7800gt (eVGA) the other day it was priced at ~$400 So getting one for under $400 seems like a deal right now.

How I would really love to jump on this....though would it be worth the $70 price difference from my x800XT + $80 for a new MB. I don't think that for the extra $150 it would be worth it in my case to have to jump from AGP to PCI-Express.
I think I'll be getting an XBox 360 for the price of this card...

They compared the two and it is like a x800 Pro compared to a x800 Xl. However check out the reviews on them it is quite interesting. They start talking more about how our monitors can not handle the video card level now and that unless you are playing at a higher resolution than 1600x1200 that they are all going to show about the same performance. Kinda like the saying that was on the site when the older gen video cards came out. "It is like strapping a rocket to a CIVIC." LOL, sorry for bashing on you honda people.

For CRT's and smaller LCD's, this is true. With the newer (and larger) LCD's though, playing at native resolution is neccessary, and to play the newer games at those resolutions requires a fairly beefy graphics card. I got lucky that I happen to be moving to a S939 system now, so I can justify the purchase to myself :p
Alright, I've been trying all morning and CANNOT get this deal to work. Can someone send me his deal or something, so that maybe I can call and pricematch?
Hook a brotha up, or explain why this isn't working!!!
hit me up on aim
ill guide you through it :)
oh snap - it is
expired today :(
GRRRR ONE DAY DEAL? This is a nono!
I would have seen this last night, but it was my 1 year anniversary with my gf. I took her out to a nice restaurant (cough $120 outa my pocket), and we made a promise that we won't be checking forums (me) or emails (her), and that we'd spend the whole night doing stuff together instead.
Well, THAT REALLY PAID OFF. WHERE'S MY 7800GT NOW BABE? lol
I just spoke to Dell for about 30 minutes. It turns out that the 20% off that you get by default is not meant for video cards. You will get the $60 coupon most likely, but they may call you and not let you get the deal you guys just got.
Let me know what happens, but the guy tried and tried, and said that even if he gives me the price that I would expect to get, that it would be checked over by (management) and that they wouldn't let the card go for that cheap.
Looks like Dell screwed up. He also said that they have the right to not sell something that was mispriced.
Let me know, whoever got the deal.

Crap, I was going to get one but had to wait till today to have my money available at the bank, I just hope something like it comes up soon, I don't want to get stuck with a x8xx card, which isn't bad but just not as good.
the price lives on for another 6 days

I paid more for my 6800GT, just a couple weeks ago! And it broke too - so I'm going to send it in tomorrow for a replacement 6800GT. If they don't accept my card, then I know what to wait for ~ another 7800 deal!

Mine is about 12 feet away; waiting on my new radiator before I rebuild my system.

How come they shipped yours out before mine? I'm pretty sure I orderd mine first. Did you have to do anything special to get them to ship it out?

Call up and complain. If you are lucky you will get a coupon.

Nope, just sent in my order. I've spent a decent amount of money with them this summer (2005FP, among other things), so that might have had something to do with it, although I sincerely doubt it.
Of course, just so karma can bite me in the ass though, my radiator got delayed almost a week :(
