Need to secure a hard drive

So I want to password protect my hard drives because there is some stuff on there that I dont want my brother looking at (letters to friends and pictures of friends that should not be seen out side of the freind circle. Nothing real serious but still...)

So how do I go about securing these folders. Keep in mind my brother is tech savy and the "just hide the foulder" aint going to cut it. Additionally if the drive and its contents are password protected could he still see whats on the drive and maybe even open it by doing a search for things like '*.jpg' ?

Well there are a couple programs that'll do this... Check (http://www.softstack.com/fileprotpro.html) this one out. It may be of use to you. Search up stuff on google.
