Currently I have a Rio 600, which just isn't cutting it for a bong cooler, since I need like 3 feet of lift. Anyone have any suggestions for a pump that's relatively cheap that can do like 200 GPH at a 3 foot lift? I don't want to spend more than $70. Anyone have a specific suggestion?

edit: And that's with 3/8" fittings, preferably, although I can squeeze the tubing over the 1/2" if necessary.

Your ACTUAL GPH is not going to be anywhere near 200, maybe like 3 or 4 max. but that is enough. i found that a 400gph pump was enough for my bong cooler.

Eheim 1250 @ DangerDen.com. I just got one and the people there are great.Talk to Dan he'll take care of you.I payed $67.00 for it.It pumps 317GPH and is submersible.Only draw back is that it's kinda big.Eheim are the best pumps out there right now though.

Viva la 1250!

It is kinda big though. Maybe that's an upside. No sense in having a pump that's hard to find.

If I were looking for a new pump, I would buy an Ehiem. That said, a Danner Mag 7 handles my Maze 2.2 (older version) and a 69" bong cooler with no problems.

Why get the Eheim over the Mag? The Mag has a better GPH rating and it's quite a bit cheaper...

Quality of construction. That's why.
How much elevation can an Ehiem 1250 handle? I've got one and I want to make sure to build my bong cooler so it'll work well.
