Hello everyone this is my first post, but have been reading these forums for a couple of years and learning from you guys. Well I wanted to upgrade my memory due to like most you folks fell into the Bf2 era. Anyways I have a 3700 sandy with a msi neo2 platinum motherboard and was looking to overclock the cpu up to 2.7 or even furthur. I came up with 3 set of ram that I am interested in but confused as to which will have the best overclock. Here they are:

Btw thanks for you advice in advance

I say get some really good pc4000-pc4200. Drop the multi on the cpu and raise the HTT. The highest that I have seen pc3200 is 280MHz here . If you get the pc4000-pc4200 you should be able to go to 330MHz.

Ya. It may be far fetched but I am waiting on my 3700 to get here that way I can try it out myself. The only reason I say this is because pc3200 rated for 200MHz can do 280MHz. So if pc4000 is rated at 250MHz it should have the same type overclock. Right?

those mushkin seem to be doing well, ill refer you to this thread http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=395335&page=5. theyre trying to figure out the best 2gig sets around right now, looks like mushkin and ballistix are currnetly tha bomb!

Mushkin ram is questionable right now. I know of at least 4 people (myself included) who bought the latest mushkin batch and cannot get more than 220MHz out of it no matter what. This Monday, we will be contacting Mushkin in hopes of resolving the issue. A Mushkin employee is already working with us on it as well. More details at xtremesystems.org forums.

I guess now I will wait for a real proven ram that is not ballstix, cause I dont thinks the scant choppyness that i have now in bf2 is worth $400 some dollars, but I will wait it out and see what else is available and is proven to be as good as ballstix in the near future, and by that I mean will give you a good overclock with some tight timings.
