I have an AMD Athlon 750 slot A and was wondering the best way to remove the metal plates so I can get to the L1 bridges. Once they're off do the plates go back on or do I need to put the HSF onto the chip itself? Thanks in advance. Late

There atre no L1 bridges on a SLOT A Athlon. Use a Golden Gingers device to overclock it. Only other way is to solder the tiny SIMD resistors.

I believe
"Gold Ginger" was supposed to read "Gold Finger"....

I hate it when that happens!!!

do a search for a "Gold Finger Device".....you should find the info you need!

it attached to the contacts (golden finger) on the upper right of the CPU cartridge (you have to take the outter black case off).
