well many here would suggest the stasis icestorm coolers, but since you dont have a CC, screw that.

i would go with the VF700-CU

:welcome: to the forums!!!

I use the ALCu unit. It works ok, better than stock :eh?:. I think I would of be much happier with the copper unit. I could probally squeeze a few more MHz out of my 6600GT. If I didn't get such a good deal on the mixed unit. I easily would of gotten the all copper. Now I am stuck with the one I have and want more out of it.

Do yourself a favor and bump up to the cooler that is a bit better, and know that you made a good pick for that brand. :D

Word of advice. Make sure the RAM sinks will fit under the cooler before you attach them. If they don't you can shave them down some. Then once you are sure they are the correct height stick them on. Just an option. It blows enough air to almost omit them.

Thank you for the welcome and I guess I'll get the CU.

LOL Shard, your nVidia worship ritual makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Sorry to hijack. That is a good one though. I just had to say something.

considering that the CU version is awsome on the 6800 series, i think it would do exceptionaly well on the 6600 series
