Is this a mistake ?

I was checking this Uli M1689 chip and saw this "New" Abit mobo UL8 socket 939 having 8 Gig of ram spec. I hav'nt seen any mobo w/ 939 more than 4 gig of ram. Is this ULi more powerfull than Nvidia or is this a mistake by Abit

It's a 64-bit processor and 64-bit architecture; if they wanted to do it, there's no reason they couldn't make it support 8 gigs or more.

i think the processor stops at 4gb, cause of the on die mem-contoller, hense why opterons can have a max of 16gb when there are 16dimms and so on and so forth

Do know of any Nvidia mobo that can take 8 gig of ram?
I can understand why this mobo would want to have 8gig if A64 is limited to 4gig. any info on any amd cpu socket 939 that is 8gig now or the roadmap?
