Which RAM should I pick?

I'm going to build an AMD64 system (3000+ Venice E6) and get new RAM.
I did a search on newegg and narrowed it down to these two:

OCZ Performance Series 1GB (2 x 512MB)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820227031

CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145450

As you can see, I do not want to spend too much.
They're both 2-3-3-6. I looked at this memory database:
http://www.techpowerup.com/memdb/
I don't know what revision the Corsair XMS is, and they don't have OCZ's "Performance Series." Furthermore, upon looking at OCZ's website, the "Performance Series" is *underneath* the "Value Series." This confuses me (I thought Value Series was the lowest quality?).

Any ideas on which is the better buy? Or do would you suggest other RAM? The motherboard I'm considering is an Asus A8N-E capable of up to 3.0V on the RAM.

The Performance is a higher level than the Value in our OCZ product lineup. I shouldn't tell you which to pick, but the performance stuff does work fine on A64 computers.

Best of luck with your new system

Does anyone have anymore input? You guys on this forum are the only people that can help me. :(

IDK what hte performance series chips use, but I know that newegg has been recently giving out BH-5 with brainpower PCB's on the corsair XMS's. The black heatspreader ones at least.. I guess it's a flip of the coin. If you do get the OCZ ones, rip those heat spreaders off and tell us what chips they use. Personally I'd go with the Corsair.
