CD/DVD drives not recognized

I've had a Pioneer dvd-rom dvd-116 and a sony cd-rw crx215e1 for a while, but after installing some nforce motherboard drivers, they fail to recognize. They show up in the device manager, but cannot be read from and do not appear in the my computer folder. I have not changed the jumpers or such since it was last working, so the driver must have removed it from memory. Any idea on how to get the drives recognized?
