hey guys has anyone got any of this stuff to work on the onboard sound card "ALC850" i can't find instrutions anywhere to get the spdif to work???or optical

what do you mean it doesn't work? does it output two channels of sound?

ya i only get like 2 speakers working when i auto test and all the other speakers dont make a noise

Passthrough only puts two channels of sound in normal mode, and you have to activate Virtual surround in the amp/Receiver/speakers, if possible. This will usually be labelled as Active Matrix, Pro-Logic II, Music Mode, or something similar.

For native DD sources such as DVDs, the digital out will automatically pass all six channels into the receiver/amp.
