I am planning on buying some crucial ram cause i hear thats the best. So what would be better, 2 sticks 512 CL-3 ram, 1 stick 512 CL-3 ram, 3 sticks 256mb CL-2 ram, or 2 Sticks 256mb CL-2 ram?

Which is better Class 2 or Class 3? Also would a stick of 1 gig memory work in my A7V133 Motherboard?
Generally speaking, I would just get 2 sticks of 256MB CAS2.
Half a MB is more than enough for about any PC short of a high-powered workstation (if you're running 98/ME it won't even really matter past 256MB).
Not sure about how much that board holds...check the manufacturer's site for specs, it will tell you.
CAS2 is faster and is better for overclocking. 150MHz FSB is almost automatic with CAS2 Crucial. All mine runs there easily.

512 is MORE than enough there is not really a rewason to have a gig, youll never use it. And get cl2 as it is a little faster rated speed

well i am stuck between 2-3 sticks of 256 mb CL=2, Unless there is a stick of 512mb CL-2, and if there is I might get 2 sticks of that.

I went to cucial's website and no success. They dont have any 512 Cl2 ram. Only 256 damn. I guess i to think about what I am going to do.

Listen to what everyone has said. 512 mb sticks are not the answer. I would definately stick to just 2 256mb, unregistered, non-parity, c2 sticks of ram from Crucial. You do not need 1gb unless you have something to apply it too. 256 mb sticks are also better overclockers!:D

thats pretty much what I am planning on due, not what to do with that old ram? I will probably say it for a rainy day.
