I tell this to everyone, aside from water cooling, it's difficult to have quiet and performance at the same time. You can purchase any of those "screamer" fans and rheostat it down to 7V, it will kill CFMs, but also kill noise.

I agree those damn ys tech 120mm's scream. I recently replaced mine with a Panflo 120mm, nearly silent and still pushes alot of air. (80cfm mebey, I forgot the specifics) You can also get them real cheap fro www.bgmicro.com/ :D

if you wna tlow noise look at 35mm thick ones as they push more air at a lower noise, i would get the sunon low noise 120 mm fans or ys-tech 135cfm fans with a retrostat

The Panaflo 120mm L1As push 69odd CFM and are QUIET... The 120mm H1As push more like 103 and are still far quieter than the YS-Tech and Sunons. New case should be finished with painting and etc by the end of this week, then we'll find out what 4 120mm H1As, 2 80mm Sunon Extreme Outputs, and a Delta 68CFM 80mm Screamer sound like... heheh...

http://www.allelectronics.com has panaflow MA1's push 85 cfm at 35 dbs for $6.50 including finger guard. I just got two of them to replace my loud generic 90mm fans.

what are the "leads" on the fans?

Pretty much its another name for the wires... Usually when they say "leads" instead of naming the type of connector it's cuz there isn't a connector at all, just a pair or trio of bare wires which you have to splice or wire into a connector... Nice thing about that is you don't have to cut the end off to plug it into your fanbus... :D
Peace
