I have a vantec NXP-301 fan controller but there are only spots for 2 cathodes. Are there spliters for these so I can connect 4 cathodes?

Anyone know if the unit can take it? I already have a pretty full load on it but I'm thinking the light controller is a seperate channel?

well you could connect 4 cold cathodes but they would all be dimmer.

This is my theory... if it puts out a constant power (amps/watts/whatever) if you put double the load on it... the cathodes would be half as bright.

How bright is it now... is the amount of power adjustable? I dont really see a point in it though because I think they would all equal to the same amount of light power or a little less because of the resistance caused by making multiple connections.

You are probably better off getting one of these http://www.xoxide.com/cocasoackit.html to power the other two lights.

Check out the wattage ratings on the switches. I am not positive but you are using an on/off switch rather then a dimmer?

Each CCFL uses about ~3-5 watts. Most dual CCFL packs say they use about 8 watts. So just do some calculations.
