basically heres whats going on. im running on a 19 inch crt monitor that is connected to my video card with an adapter. i know for a fact that the monitor is fully functioning because i tested it on another computer with an integrated gfx card and everything was fine. however, when i turn on my computer on my main rig, there is no picture on my monitor. my video card fan seems to be running so im assuming that its fine, although i cant be sure. i have no idea whats going on. i think ive somewhat narrowed it down to two possibilities. either my monitor to video card adapter (sorry i dont know the name) is messed up and i need to get a new one, or something is wrong with my video card. im trying my best to get permission to try running the video card on a different system, but i dont know when thats gonna happen. my extra monitor adapter is also missing so im gonna have to buy a new one.

has anyone else experienced this sort of issue and have some sort of a possible solution? thanks

dude, i had this problem yesterday when I built a rig for my friends. Make sure your PSU has enough power and is working, Do you have MSN or AIM, would be easier to guide you through, just IM me from my AIM stated below sig.

what you do if your pSU is working, is make sure ALL plugs in the mobo are in, 24 pin, the 4 pin P4+ connection, 4 pin molex, and the 4 pin floppy connector. What motherboard your using?

Did you just build this pc? Did it work with a previous video card? Try resetting the cmos, reseating the card, check your wires. Also, is your adapter a DVI to VGA adapter?

That's weird, i experienced the same problem with mine. Resolved it by plugging in 2 cable to my monitor, and using Nvidia setup thingy to use DVI over analog ( my monitor have 2 slot, 1 DVI the other analog). It's kinda ugly tho, when i got it everything worked fine, then after a few days it started doing this regularly. Got it working with the dual cable, and OCed it to death :)
