x800xl clock speeds

Okay, so i orderd a Sapphire x800xl off newegg (click (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102499))

it says there that the core is 400 mhz and the mem is 980 mhz. i grabbed ATItool and it says that the core is 400 mhz and the mem is ... 490!?!?! wtf! should i believe newegg, or is my vid card way underclocked!?

It is the marketing. Just like ddr400 runs off a 200mhz bus speed, your memory runs at 980mhz but the bus is 490mhz. Note that it is exactly half.

You got the right card and it is working the way it should.
