Ok I'm building a new computer, everything so far has gone just fine except one thing. When I try to play a dvd the computer shuts off. This happens with any dvd playing program and I tried it with a different drive and the same thing happens help me out here I need a faaast response

here are the specs
Sempron 3000+ socket 754
Asus K8N4-e Deluxe
XFX 6600 256mb PCI-e
512mb corsair pc3200
Toshiba DVD burner
Samsung 160gb sata hd
Thermaltake 430 watt ps
Cooler Master Centurion case.

Try a different molex connector. Maybe that one is shorting out or something. Can you try a different PSU? Give Prime95 a go overnight and maybe do some 2D stress tests incase the video card's DVD Decoder is defective.
