hey people i just had a question is it possible to share an internet connection between 2 pcs with just wireless network adapters just on in one pc and one in another and if it is possible what software/settings woudl i need
thnx in advance
Yes, you just set them both to adhoc mode and give them each a static IP and set the default gateway on the one sharing the host's Internet connection to the host's IP(the one connected to the internet). and turn on ICS on the host.

I'm pretty sure that you just install the wlan adaptors on each PC, run the wizard/manually set up for an ad-hoc network (on the properties tab of the connection there is a checkbox for ad-hoc mode). once you do this just go to the properties/advanced tab of your internet connection and check the box 'share internet connection'.

if you want 802.11b get them from ebay, they are dirt cheap, if you want g or g+ or anything else just look on the major sites overclockers.co.uk, cpucity.co.uk, dabs.com, ebuyer.co.uk etc. Look in the clearance sections as many of the older (but still good) early 802.11g adaptors are now being sold off cheap.
Linksys are very very good!
