Anyone using .Net

I'm a VB programmer and was wondering how much .Net has been accepted by the programming community. I mean, it hasn't been released yet but it is one huge beta program. I like it but I don't have a big investment in my own existing code library. I'd be pretty ****ed off about having all of my trusty routines rendered useless.

This is a very interesting topic. on one hand it really sucks that bill is changing the programing languages, he is obviously benefiting greatly from this. Then on the other hand, it is probably about time we start developing bigger and more powerful programs now that computers are cheap and more powerful. I really dont think there is a threat of any of the old languages going away, now there are just more languages to learn.
