Is this it? Is there someway to enable TCQ or something. Are there drivers i can download to make my raptor go faster or quiet down?

Can't comment on the speed you're getting since you've provided no information as to what makes you believe it is too slow. As far as being quiet, well, it's a 10K RPM HDD - it's not going to be as quiet as 7200 RPM drives.

You should be able to enable TCQ in device manager under your SATA controller properties. Also, make sure your nForce drivers are up-to-date.

thanks for the tip. I enabled command queing. My burst speed ranges from 100-113 and my sustained speed ranges from 60-70. I'll update my nforce drivers

Mine is greyed out and I cannot check it. How do I enable it? Enable Write Caching and Let Bios select Transfer mode are checked.

well, when i enabled caching my speed went down to like 5 both burst and sustained
