Sorry SpeeDj but I tried to replace the graph in the Sticky and it didn't work - even renamed the file and still it would not replace the old one.

Anyways - I added LKSAB to the challenge. Since we have passed them twice before, I figured it would be nice to see us blow past them again. The intercept date says none - but if you watch the team rankings you will see them fall in the next day or so. 'The One' who gave them the jump up to 44th, with 88888 WU's, is not listed in the team anymore.

Them coming back down would be a good thing. Seemed kinda of strange that a #like 88888 wu's were added.

Not really strange - just plain old sucked. But, now that 'The One' is not listed on there team, they will be way behind us, and hopefully for good, this time.

I haven't found, though, where 'The One' went to.

Hey is there any way you could make the file size smaller - I've gotten a couple complaints that it takes a long time to download. Being on cable I don't notice things like that. Is there a compression method for gifs?

You can take down the number of colors, which will in turn slowly degrade quality. I'm sure some of the animated avatar people could help you on this.

All I'm seing is a big red X.... We must be the line going up, and LKSAB is the line going down!!!

Well, I just tried compressing the GIF off the web site, and I can't do so much. I can bring it to 32 colors and it looks descent, any 16 colors is just bearable, but my personal sugustion to make the file smaller is to make the picture smaller. Even at 16 color, it is still 81Kb. Shrink the size down a little. Also, mabey changing the background will let it compress better...... Just a thought.

Hopefully, by the end of the year we can be at 1000+. I'm still posting out in the Usenet News Groups. Hopefully my postings will attract more members.

I was able to join the OC team on Seti.

I have a question though, do the completed units that I have become part of the collective group?

Yes. All pesonal results will add into the team total results. When I joined the team, I came with 1700+ WU's and they all added into the team total.

Welcome to the team - Crunch On!!!

Yep but it does take 24-96 hours for the seti server to update. Are you running the screensaver? Looks like it, if you want to stick with that make sure that you go into your display properties and under the screen saver tab click the settings button and make sure that it is set to goto black screen in x ammount of minutes. If you want to really increase your speed go here (http://www.ocsetiteam.com/Instr1.htm) to instal the command line client. Welcome to the team.

I have it running on 5 different machines and I use both command line and screen saver versions.

How much quicker is the comand line seti?

I actually have plans ti implement this screen saver at the centre that I work at. It would have seti installed on approximately 350 PC's (Win 95 pentium 166's)

It is much faster if you don't have the screensaver set to goto black screen, it is a little faster if you do have it set to goto black screen.
