Im looking to build a new desktop for when i go away to university
I live in Canada and am lookin at spending around $2000. I need a new monitor, keyboard and computer.

I dont do much gaming, but play a game here or there if i find something i like.

Something that is very important tho is that the computer is as quiet as possible.

Thanks guys

EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra Motherboard $103.00
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Dual Core Processor $539.00
Maxtor MaxLine III w/16mb Cache 250GB Hard Drive $141.19
eVGA GeForce 6800 GT Video Card $298.00
OCZ 2GB PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Memory $262.00
OCZ PowerStream 520W Power Supply $109.99
Antec P180 ATX Mid Tower $111.30
Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3100 Keyboard and Mouse Combination $89.00
Samsung SyncMaster 912T Black 19" LCD Monitor $334.75

Total: $1987

I'm not too great with choosing monitors, but from what I've seen, that's a pretty good 19" LCD.

If the total is still a bit too expensive, you can cut down on the HDD and find a 16mb Cache one for about $105. You can also cut the 2GB ram to value ram.

The Antec P180 looks pretty solid and might help cut down on some noise.

I wanted to pick the Lian-Li PCV1100B, but it was a tad too expensive, but some say it helps cut down on noise a lot.

sorry, i should have specified in my first post that i meant $2000 canadian..or about 1700 US
