What's up with my folding client?

I launch folding at home and usually i have to minimize it and it goes to the task bar. Now, I run it and it just disappears. Not in the task bar or anything. What's going on??:(

Are you running Electron Microscope?

I would also check your processes. Do ctrl-alt-del and see if fah is in your task list.

I haven't heard of this problem but hopefully someone has. You might have to do a reinstall of the client. That shouldn't be a problem just make sure you use the same username as you did before.

Fah is not on the CTRL + ALT + DEL thing either. I also uninstalled it and reinstalled it but it didn't ask me for username or anything. Just went right to work. I know it is using the correct name though. I do not have elecron microscope.

After you reinstalled it, is it working correctly? Or is it still shutting down? If you installed it into the same directory as the one you uninstalled, you should not have to reenter your username, and your id number should still be the same.

I reinstalled it on the same directory but it still keeps shutting down.

Wish I had an answer. The only time I ever had this problem was when I OC'd too far.
The 2.0 client is now available though. It may be worth a try.

did you check your scrlog.txt? It tells you what the window is doing. I don't think this is your problem if you reinstalled it, but I know once it closed on me after a couple seconds because it couldn't get a checksum. If that's what it does, delete work.dyn. it'll start over, but work.

Ok.. It said that the TINKER caused a fatal error. Anyways, I had to uninstally teh client and empty the whole folder then reinstall it and now it works.:)
