ram compatibility

i have just bouhgt 512mb of pc3200 kinston value ram, i have in my p.c 256mb of pc2700 kinston value ram. can anyone tell me if these two types of ram can work together. my motherboard is an asus a7v8x-x and supports both types.

Yes they will both work together but the faster RAM will automatically default to the slower RAM clocks.
