I don't know what you've heard, whether these sticks specifically or any sticks rated at pc500 don't work with with your motherboard. I've heard the asus boards don't clock that high. You should try to find someone you know with highly clockable memory to check to see if your board can reach those speeds. Even if it can't, that memory is excellent and you might be able to run it at low speeds with tighter timings than it's rated. I've read about people running them at cl 2.5 at speeds like 240 so you might even be able to lower the cl to 2 at a low enough speed.
