Ok, my video card keeps overheating like crazy so I went out and bought a little orb cooler cause heck anything is better than the stock pos right? Wrong apparantly... I can't seem to get the video card to not overheat for some reason. I know it's the video card cause every time I reboot I get the XP "do you wish to send the error" because of my video card.
Anyway, would it be a good idea to use the arctic silver thermal paste to attach the heatsink to my GPU or is the arctic silver II good enough but I need to find a better way to attach (nuts and bolts?) I can't even play motor city online for more than like 2 minutes before it crashes me in the middle of a race, crashing the whole computer not just the program :( anyone have any suggestions?

I have Geforce2 64 GTS on my ASUS A7V/T-Bird 1.2, and I have no problems.

Infact, the stock fan on it took a dump, and I've been running without a fan for sometime now. Although it does have a fair-sized stock heat-sink on it already.

I'm gonna toss the sink and put a Blorb on it. The factory fans ARE A PIECE OF SH_T !!!! (please take note Leadtek)

Sounds like your card has some problems.

Is it next to any other heat producing components?

sfa ok

If you put AS on the chip except for two corners, and put superglue on the corners and attatch the heatsink, it's a good hold that is removable. But it does sound like your card has some problems.

*sigh* I don't have the money to buy a new card :( I felt the card right after the last time it crashed and it felt very warm. I think it Possibly might be power related, as my 5volt line is only 4.83, so I'm getting a new power supply to power my 8 fans. HOPEFULLY once I get that I will be good again, but it is kind of odd that suddenly this would start happening, so maybe after only 8 months my card did go poop, thanks :mad:Leadtek!
Maybe I'll rob a bank and buy a geforce3 Ti or something if I have to...

Here's a pic of my computer, everything is blowing in except the cyclone and the 92mm exhaust. Could it be the memory possibly? BSOD usually means memory error no? Computer usually blue screens before dying...
