building a dothan system and cant decide on which memory to get.
my friend got the patriot tccd which runs good timings on stock voltage or what little the p4p800 will give him.
but once past 220 mhz 2-2-2 timings are impossible.

so i can get the patriot dual ddr 1 GB pack for 160$

or should i try bh-5 or utt

or

with a ocz booster

im looking to run 250 mhz at 2-2-2 timings,im just not sure which is the best way to go.

any suggestions of what to run would be great

For Dothan, BH5 is easily the best. Not UTT, but true BH5. BH6 works too. UTT doesn't work very well with the i875/865. Have you tried 4-4-3 timings with the TCCD? It will be outperformed easily by BH5, but it would still do all right.

BH5/UTT, but you will need volts man, I mean 3.2-3.4v (check booster's max volts for your mobo) to run 250 222 and still a luck thing as 1gb kits dont perform as well as 512mb kits
ocz vx 4000 should be a good bet as they guarantee 250 222, you can try contacting steveocz, he's around here somewhere to see what he says about vx on your board/chipset

PS warning high volts = high temps, active cooling a MUST !

The Plat Rev.2 is TCC5 isnt it? If so, I run mine daily at 1.65 or 1.55 volts 1:1@260mhz and 2.5-3-3-5 timings. If it is then would TCC5 be great Dothan material too?
