I've never seen a orange 'stick' cold cathodes for sale, but there is two different red colors and one of them is orange in color despite it being sold as red.
The best way to get an actual orange cathode is to buy a white one, get some gel sheets (colored plastic sheet used to change the colors of theater lights) and wrap those around the cathodes. Works quite well.
I figured white would be better simply because a red + orange will still have a reddish hint to it. For a pure orange, white plus several sheets wrapped together would work better I would think.

Don't think I have asked a question and abandoned your replies. Thanks for all of the replies. I am thinking a bunch of LED's might be the way to go though. Headed now to check that link though.
