How many memtest errors are too many? Or is one error one too many?

Any errors is bad. When you run memtest you should loop test 5 at least 10 times minimum. I have seen the first 5 passes run clean but throw errors up as it continues to run.

I second that, memtest is the first line of defense. Any errors in that are really bad news and will show up later in more thorough tests.

It's test 8 I'm having trouble with now. When I do get it to complete loop, the next time around it fails. So watch 8 too.

yup same for me, test 8 on 2nd loop, I am too working on it. what kind of memory and board do you have?
