After changing my selection several times I'm almost certain I've landed on a case I'm not going to change (Antec Super Lanboy). After changing cases (yet again) I'm going to have to re-evaluate my decisions. So far I've only picked out the case: The Super Lanboy (For those who have short attention spans ).

Any suggestions on a 450-500W PSU?

The Fortron PSU is a great choice at a reasonable price.

What he said.

It shouldn't really matter what you get, the minimum PSU should be that Forton AX500-A, unless you can get a generic PSU if your parents are using it or if you don't plan on upgrading...or OCing...at all.

I'm building this for me. I want a better computer than this 3 year old $300 Dell. I do plan on upgradability.

I bought an Antec NeoPower 480W. Its awesome and powers my rig fine and have stable voltages and I can overclock still. I think its the fact it has dual 12v rails.

my OCZ 520 has been going strong for over a year. No trouble. Newegg has for $111 after rebate.

Minimum: AX-500 from ewiz.com for like $73.

Assuming he isn't running some monster SLI rig with dual 6800 ultra overclocked monsters and dual opteron, the blue storm should easily be able to manhandle any normal PC.

I'm thinking on getting an SLI board, but right now I can only afford 1 video card (i.e. X800 maybe X850). Might just go with a singel PCI-E x16 board.

The egg has the CoolerMaster 450 ACLX for a rediculus 40 bucks. Ive had that PSU for 6 months and it's performed exceptionally well. I'm pulling 150watts from it with the P4 rig with F@H running. It goes to about 175 while gaming. With 2 hds it would be at 200. Currenly it has 3 fans running for summer to keep my OCZ sticks cool.

Check out the fortrons with the Dual 12V flag on for more great PSUs. The blues are some of the best with fancy cabling but the gray ones are just as good with the same innards.

Low OCing: Forton AX500-A $90
Mid-High OCing: OCZ PowerStream 520W $110
High OCing: PCP&C 510 Deluxe w/ SLI $200

Some people would say certain Antecs are good choices, even if they OC their 3200+ to 2.7ghz or something. But still, majority would recommend the above, and you can't go wrong with any of the above.

uhh... dont get me wrong but... why get an SLI board if your gonna get an ATI card? If your gonna stick with ATI, wait for Sapphire's new PURE innovations board to come out (could set up a crossfire setup too).

I also suggest AX500-A from ewiz. :)
