I need a nice cheap graphics card for my second computer. I have a Hercules 3D Prophet 2 GTS/Pro 64 MB in my computer. But I want to upgrade my other computer with a 3D card. It has some crappy DVD supporting card right now that sucks reallllllllllllllllly badly. I just need something nice but low cost. Thanx

At the risk of looking bad to everyone else, here goes: I have a Guillemot 3D Prophet (GeForce256 32MB SDR) for sale. You can do various websearches to find out more about the chipset and manufacturer.

(I hope I don't get flamed!)

If you want a brand new card, you may want to concider:

MSI StarForce 820 GeForce2 GTS 32MB DDR. They run just over $100.

ATI Radeon 32MB DDR. About $75.

Gainward GeForce2 MX400 (blah...) About $65.

The graphics card will go into a Penitum 2 300 mhz w/ 256 MB RAM. It still has Win95 too.

A GeF2 MX 400 will be highly suitable.

Very common chipset, lots of manufacturers to choose from, and most of all, cheap.

id go with the radeon, it has much higher performance than the mx for 10 dollars more......also if you plan on upgrading your cpu...(you really should)......a kyroII would be a nice choice....

Hercules Prophet 2mx is a good choice. Their probably under $85.
