Hey guys, I need serious help cuz this PC is driving me nuts.

Original setup:
P4 3.4 northwood
zalman cnps 6000 all copper
asus p4p800e deluxe
enermax noisetaker 480watt
1gig corsair 2-2-2-5
xfx nvidia 6600gt
RAID 0 with 2 samsung 120gig HD's, XP pro on raid
120gig seagate
200gig seagate
pioneer dvd-108
audigy2 platinum
leadtek winfast tv 2000xp

WinXP Pro SP2

Stock default bios settings, latest BIOS firmware, nothing overclocked.

Problem started 2 months ago, the setup would randomly freeze where keyboard and mouse wouldn't do a darn thing. Only a hard restart would work. When I watch any avi file or play any game, the audio would repeat the last 1 second before it freezes up. Here's the odd part, when I watch TV with the tv card, video and everything freezes up BUT audio would continue to play as if I'm listening to the radio. The freeze is random, occuring anytime up to 6hrs. I haven't had it last longer than that.

What seems to accelerate the freezing process is when it involves reading/writing to the HD. Like running multiple bittorrents or copying large files to my external firewire HD's. Then there's a higher chance of freezing up within 30-60mins. Oh, for the record, this thing has freezed on idle with no active programs running.

I've tried re-installing XP Pro. No change.
Install xp pro on 3 different hard drives that are verified good. No change.
Took out audigy and tv card out. No change.
Swapped in GeForce 3 card. No change.
Swapped in Samsung CAS3 1gig rams. No change
Swapped the entire ASUS P4P800E deluxe mobo with a brand new P4p800e deluxe mobo. No change
Swapped with 350 watt enermax PSU (only bare setup connected). No change
Swapped with P4 2.66 northwood Rev B. No change

Sandra, Memtest 86, prime95, cpu stability test, all of them found nothing. No errors. Samsung and seagate disktools found no HD errors. Here's another odd part, the PC never freezes when it runs Sandra/Prime/Stability on XP Pro. Each of the diagnosis programs has been running at least 16-24hrs.

Heat and voltage doesn't seem to be an issue. Temp stays 36 idle to 54C load for 3.4ghz, 34 idle 52C load for 2.66.

I've run the tests with all the original hardware and swapped hardware. Every single hardware component has been swapped in this PC. I know the swapped hardware works fine because I'm gutting a perfectly working PC.

So, anyone has a clue what the hell is wrong with this thing?

Hmmm, doubt it. I checked for that and double checked when I installed the new p4p800e mobo. Forgot to mention that setup has been stable for more than 1.5yrs. Only thing changed was upgraded Radeon 9700Pro to the xfx nvidia 6600gt, and that was roughly 6-9 months ago.

sounds like a PSU problem...

Ok, this is odd... this time, I tried installing XP Pro SP1 and no updating at all (previous installs were SP2 and update with all packs), and freezing is gone with the same bare-bone setup of my original parts (3.4ghz, noisetaker, corsairs, nvidia 6600gt). Hasn't locked up for the past 26 hrs.

How can I narrow down which update pack is the offender? And has anyone heard of this? I don't find anything in search or google.
