I have a P3 600, 10gb HD , and a Geforce2 MX400 64mb. I installed nVidia's 21.83 detonator drivers, which does not have the coolbits tool activated. So i aquired a Coolbits patch, which when installing says "Are you sure you want to add Coolbits to the registry?". I click yes, yet the Coolbits tab is'nt made available to me when it should be installed. Why?
Is my coolbits patch too old? ( I got it from Tweak3d.com) or is there a newer version available?
Thanks.

In your dispay settings click on the tab for Geforce MX 200/400
then click on additional properties. In the menu that shows up there should be a tab that says: Clock Frequencies that wasn't there before

This is what coolbits does. There is actually no coolbits tab

i would recommend using nvmax or rivatuner...they give u the option to tweak other stuff also.........

and coolbits is disabled in all drivers after version 12.90<--i think it is, not sure

u must be using W98SE right? thats a known issue now for GeForceII MX users. Rivatuner nor nvmax will be able to overclock your frequencies. it really sucks. Try out powerstrip: its not driver dependant but its also not so cool - even so it will do the job fine. get it here: http://www.entechtaiwan.com/ps.htm

nvmax or rivatuner works in this case....or it should at least....

and it's better than powerstrip...at least for the price it is

its worth to try out - but i dont beleive they will work. thats a driver issue and they both are driver dependant. i had this problem and NVMAX nor RIVATUNER worked with overclocking. it will happen only with GeForceII MXs and W98 systems - of course: det XP.

I would recommend NVMAX too...

It is a really good program for overclocking your video card...

Much more options than Coolbits..

I found the problem with the cool bits reg entry you need to add it by hand. I look and guess what after adding via merge it didn't work but I put it in by hand and it worked.

Well when I restart it won't allow me to change the clock speeds. Thats sucks.
