The sound in battlefield 2 is incredible. when i drive the tank around i can literally FEEL the motor humming and when airplanes do a flyby everything in the room just start shaking more and more till well, it sounds like an airplane overhead.

small issue though. the majority of gameplay is 70dB (at my normal volume controls) but flybys from airplanes are over 100 as well as nearby explosions. i realised after 6 hours of play that this could be a little dangerous to my hearing. lower volumes make it difficult to play because you cant hear gunshots.

anyone else run into this "issue". mind you its impressive. but dangerous.

Wus... haha. Nah JP. Just get the GI to stick his fingers in his ears when planes pass over and such. ;)But, for some reason my gunshots are louder than any other effect in the game when I raise the volume above barely audible. They sound incredible even on my ADA995's(Dell THX) that i have had for 3.5 years. I will be picking up my 5500's at the post office tomorow morning, YAY. But, yeh man just watch out for everything being a tad too loud. You can always equalize out the 1khz region a bit because it tends to hurt the most.
