Mandrake 8.1 + GF2 + Newbie = !@#$

I'm a Newbie....please be gentle. I have Mandrake 8.1 and a GF2 Pro. I went to the nVidia site for drivers and it only lists them for Mandrake 8.0. What do I do now????

Mandrake 8.1 should have the drivers already...

Or you could always go to the makdrae site and see if the have 8.1 drivers for the GeF2.
Both have a 2.4 Kernel right? if so, the driver for 8.0 might work...

I tried to load the drivers for 8.0 with no luck.

Part of the NVidia drivers is a kernal modual. I think this mod is to kernal specific to work with an older version. NVidia is usually pretty quick to update for the popular distros so the wait should be short. For now you should have fine 2D support anyway.
