Messed up video...

not sure if this belongs here or not but i need some help...when i got play video files the color is all distorted and not right.....it doesnt work on wmp or divx :/ any suggestions?

It depends on the video footage itself - it may be poorly encoded?

Failing that try reinstalling the codecs? Video drivers even, perhaps?

i just installed the divx one today and have had this problem for awhile, sooo ill i guess ill try the wmp again

downgrade your video drivers (or upgrade in some cases)

The newer nvidia drivers had video playback problems on 6800 cards for sure, not sure if this is the card you have, but im guessing so.

So yeah, just try some different video card drivers and it should be better.

went from drivers 77.72 to 77.77 did not help :/

still no luck iver re downloaded WMP dled Xvid, wmp and divx codecs...

Downgrade drivers to the either 71 or 67 drivers. I know this is the problem becuase i had the same problem. Once i downgraded ( I dont remember exactly which i used) i was able to fix it.

I found the answer by searching google.
