XP is great, ME is the ******* child.

Windows XP is great, very stable OS. This should have come out a bit sooner considering that Microsoft wasted lots of R&D time and money with the ME edition. Some ask why does ME suck so bad..... well its simple. You got you 16 bit family of OS(win95, 98...) and your 32 bit family (2000, XP....). And as I said the ME version is the ******* child, it is classified as a 16 bit but has a lot of 32 bit characteristics. What does that all mean...... CRASH. The dreaded BSOD (blue screen of death) has come across my comp uncountable times when I ran ME. Anyway XP + P4 = Nice, Very Nice (so i hear)

I guess its a matter of opinion, I personally never had any problems with WinME and consider it to be a great performing and stable OS, although I am aware that some people experienced problems with it, However many problems revolve around Windows2000 and from my memory when it was first released there was a massive driver problem. I personally think that XP looks like it was made by a pre-school child and understand that the Athlon XP and Windows XP is a nicer combination than the P4 solution according to benchmarks and reports... Win ME a ******* child, I dont think so, its just a different relation within a family with problems

I like ME just fine. I have a copy of xp pro and tried to install it but was having problems withe the stupid DSL (curse thy name swbell). So I just plugged ME back in and haven't had a problem (cept for stupid DSL).:D :mad: :D :D :mad:

I've used 98 ME and W2K. 98 was good but too unstable. W2K too numerous of problems to count, first was drivers and not to mention it took me a long time to install. ME Works like 98 just with out the bad stuff better stability. W2K is the Butt head clumsy older bro that takes a long time to get to do something but if u get it to start to work it will finish and only get sick once in a while. 98 is the lil bro who thinks he knows what he's doing but screws up once in a while and gets sick alot. WIN ME is the distant cousin whose smart and cute and rich and also has learned from the old and the young.
