x800 or 6800?

i think title says it all i would like to stay at about $200. i play cs and cs:s mostly.

Well, some say the 6600GT is almost on par with the 6800. So you might consider a lower price range for that.

But if you think about it the other way, spend $80 more and get the 6800GT. I have the eVGA 6800GT and I can run any HL game, from CS:S to HL2 on full settings and still look great.

But if money is a problem, you can look at refurb 6800GTs if you can find any at lower prices.

But between the X800 and 6800, the 6800 may be able to OC easier and farther then the X800, but if you don't OC, they both may be on par in performance. It's all about preference, and I would prefer the 6800 :)

I have ordered a total of 3 refurb vid card and they all performed great. In fact my refurbed 9500 modded into a 9700pro. For the price you can not go wrong and you do get a 15 day return period.

6800 then u can try unlocking pipelines and u have the 256mb ram instead of 128 that the x800 reg has
