Anyone with an a1130n HP?? I need your help

My a1130n HP has had a problem with going blank screen, then coming up, hard locked with a screen full of color lines and blotches. I have tried two brand new video cards. ATI x700 and ATI x800XL (HIS), so it ins't the video card. It isn't the monitor, because the compute ritself hard locks. I can't replicate the issue, it is purely random. 1-5 times a day......please help :bang head

If your sure it isn't the monitor, then it may be the motherboard. The PCI interface between your video card and motherboard may be a bit messed up, but that's highly doubted. I would probably try a new HDD and see if it's some program you have, or try to format your current HDD and see whats wrong with it. Maybe you should contact HP if you still have you warranty intact.

I just bought it, so it should have a warranty. I'll go for the format this weekend and see what happens.

It appears that ATI has different drivers between WinXP and WinXP Media Center Edition. I didn't know this, I have WinXP Media Center, so I can d/l them now and trying them.
