I'm begining to play about with peer to peer file sharing,

With the Avi's that are available many are in 2 or more parts, for the bigger files.

Do you know of any progs freeware pref. that join the 2 to make 1 complete file.

Thanks :)

Easier way than d/ling a file just use the simple dos command copy. This is the exact syntax to do what you want...

copy /b file1.ext + file2.ext outputFile.ext

<edit> It works with mp3's but not avi files, it will make the file with the cumulative size but it wont actually play all the way through, very odd. Ill look into it and see if i can come up with a solution </edit>

<editTwo> So apparently you do have to d/l a file heh, found this one which does just .avi files. Its called "Peck's Power Join"</editTwo>
