I live in Schaumburg, right by Woodfield mall so I was secretly praying every night it would be at woodfield. I had no idea there even WAS a brickyard mall before this. I'm still going, it's only about 30 minutes from woodfield, and I drive fast.

Please post how it was... when they had the next 15 cities I am hoping to see Minnesota on there! I know I can get out of bed for a free processor and mobo... all the more reason to make the change to AMD! Considering I am one of the lucky people to have their name drawn.

If I was it would give me a good reason to do one of the following...
[1]rebuild my current system - reformat and all!
[2]build a second system allot sooner that I had planned on.
excuses, excuses... we can always find one to justify ourselves cant we? :D

i hope only 190 people show up to the chicago thing :-) why 190? just in case...

but anyway... it should be interesting. i want it to be over not only because i want to win (or try to), but i also want to see what other 15 cities will be chosen. 15 is a whole lot. (considering the ones already chosen...) chances are, between the cities already done, and the ones coming, eveyrone has a good chance of getting a chip. im gonna try for all 3 phases of the contest. granted, the odds go down with each phase though... anyone know how many chips/boards will be given out during phase 2? they cant be giving away 200 at each... that would be 3,000 + what they already gave away = 4,200 chips/boards. in the official rules, they value each combo as $290. ive done the math for you, thats a whopping $1.2 MILLION dollars.

and i will bet you money that the first of the 15 cities will be in the west. ugh, i just want one of these things!

make sure to let us know how it all went. organized or mass chaos and you stormed the truck. in which case I doubt you will say anything in fear of the "law" coming to take the 40+ Athlon XP's away from you.;)
